This is the value you get when doing a workshop with CoWork. We bring a unique method to the table that we call Domain-Oriented Product Development.

What the attendees said

The session got a 98% top score. One of the attendees summed it up like this:

Identifying the problem is one thing. Working in the solution space through different ways of decomposing it? Super hard. We didn’t get very far, which is probably expected when trying in a few hours what teams spend years doing, but it hammered one thing home: don’t settle for the first design.

The attendee was reminded of John Ousterhout’s point in A Philosophy of Software Design: one of the fundamental challenges in computer science is decomposing complex problems into pieces that can be solved independently. And the takeaways? The most important question to ask is «Who is the user?», and one of the most useful skills for a developer is learning to really listen to the language domain experts use.

A note left in the feedback jar said it well: sharing the slides at the beginning, daring an interactive format and referring to a real-world problem. «Thank you, great job!»
